Please join us Wednesday, March 5th for our Ash Wednesday Service. This very important and sacred service, which commences our 40 day journey with the Savior to Calvary, will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Why do we place ashes on the forehead on Wednesday? Ash Wednesday commences the 40 day period, excluding Sundays, leading up to Easter, as we begin our journey with our Lord to Calvary and ultimately to the Resurrection on Easter Sunday morning. Lent is a time for us to be introspective and ask God to help us to examine ourselves to the end that we can honestly confess our sins to Him and ask for forgiveness.
Won’t you commence this journey with us today as we are anointed with ashes which remind us of our mortality? As we walk with Jesus through this season, He will renew our strength and assure us that we will receive…
