Pastor Thornton's 18th Anniversary

It's time to celebrate! On Sunday, May 5th we will commemorate the 18th Pastoral Anniversary of our dear pastor, Rev. Dr. James A. Thornton, recognizing him for his stellar leadership and dedicated service to the Salem Missionary Baptist Church. The theme for this year’s celebration is, “A Loving Pastor Striving to Shepherd God’s People and Community” (Jeremiah 3:15). The celebration will begin during our morning worship service at 10:45 a.m. We will observe one of the ordinances of our church, Holy Communion, during this service. A luncheon further honoring Dr. James A. Thornton will follow, in our Banquet Hall, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for the luncheon are $20.00.
